This week began with the preparation of the questionnaire for the screening experiment. The questionnaire was done with the help of compusense five in sensory panel room. After that we bought the raw material needed for the screening experiment. On the second day the questionnaire was checked by Dr.Peter Ho. It was decided that thescreening experiment will be done in two sessions for 16 samples with the help of 32 assessors. 32 assessors will test 8 samples in one day and rest 8 on the other day.
The 16 samples were finalised by our group and Dr.Peter Ho.According to plan screening experiment was done on two days. The 32 assessors were asked to rate all samples using 9 point Hedonic scale for 5 different attributes( sweetness, milk flavour, kiwi flavour, thickness, overall acceptability). All assessors were asked to sign consent form before testing samples and were instructed to have some pause after testing 4 samples. All data of sensory was then collected. 32 assessors were same on both days . Moreover, data was tabulated in excel sheet. Eventually, the data was statistically analysed individually for each attribute by using Tuckeys HSD. There was only significant difference for one attribute only i.e thickness. Rest of the results were insignificant. So Friedman test was carried for thickness only. As per results there is significant comparison between sample B and sample M.
